One of the favorite things to do in Medellin by locals and visitors is visiting the Parque de los deseos and Planetarium that are located right at the bottom of the University station of the metro, in the same area as Jardin Botanico, parque Explora and Universidad de Antioquia.

Medellin’s planetarium offers its visitors a small window to peek into the vastness of the universe.

The Planetarium goal, as an educational scenario, is to create an informal, dynamic and playful learning experience with an interactive approach, integrating the knowledge of the universe in its different aspects like science, technology, art and pedagogy.

The Planetarium of Medellin is among the most modern in the world, with a digital dome for high quality impressive experiences.

Just outside the planetarium, the visitors will find the Parque de los Deseos, a nice place to relax and share with friends. Many film festivals and other kind of artistic shows are presented very often at this open scenario, that counts with a food court and some other attractions.

Tuesday and Wednesday: 8:00 a.m to 5:45 p.m (ticket office closes at 4:45 p.m.)

Saturdays, Sundays and holidays: 10:00 am to 6:45 pm (ticket office closes at 5:45 p.m.)
