A beautiful natural reserve just outside Medellin, Parque Arvi is an ambitious project that includes several preservation zones, administered by private and municipal communities, all of them with the purpose of taking care of the natural environment and offering visitors a lot of things to do in Medellin.
Located in the eastern edge of the city, at only 20 minutes taking the Metro Cable system at Acevedo station, Parque Arvi offers a unique peaceful and relaxing experience in its 4200 acres.
Inside the park, there are a number of activities designed for all kind of visitors: walking, trekking, horse riding, camping, canoeing, among many other.
A fantastic part of the fun is getting there using the Metro cable. The view of the city is amazing and once the cable car enters the park, the landscape turns into the amazing nature reservation, full of wildlife to explore.
In addition to the cable car system, the park can be reached by public transport from Medellin using the buses that service Santa Elena village. Private automobiles and bikes are also allowed in the reserve.
The park is open from Tuesday to Sunday and holidays, from 9 a.m to 5 p.m.
Parque Arvi is located in the settlements of Piedras Blancas, Punta Gorda and Mazo in the village of Santa Elena.
