Ciudad del Rio is a developing project, with the idea of giving the city a comprehensive and inclusive space where people can perform different activities. The site consists of office towers, apartment towers, a linear park, parkland, (Museum of Modern Arts of Medellin) MAMM, among other spaces.
The MAMM, Museum of Modern Arts of Medellin, is a developing cultural hub of Medellin.
Since its inception, the Museum of Modern Art of Medellin has not only worked as a museum but giving the city a place for meetings and surprising activities.
Many different cultural and artistic events are performed in the place, attracting diverse audiences around the arts festival.
The MAMM has two locations in the city: in the Carlos E. Restrepo neighborhood and in the old ‘Talleres Robledo’ building, at Ciudad del Rio park.

The Museum opens Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Saturdays and Sundays opens it doors at 10:00 pm and on Sundays it closes at 5:00 pm.

For many who have heard of Medellin, the name brings to mind the drug-related violence of the 1980s and 1990s, when it was often described as the most dangerous city in the world. Over the last decade, Medellin has worked hard to change its image. The local government is investing in education and social programs, and the city recognizes the importance of providing an integrated public transportation system as the backbone of these projects. Medellin is becoming famous for innovative sustainable transport. Recent efforts to modernize public transit, create better public spaces and improve safety are helping transform the city.
One can notice why Medellin was proclaimed as the most innovative city in the world. Way to go.
