Medellin Botanical Gardens -Things to do in Medellin

There are so many things to do in Medellin and many of them are free.  One of my favorite things to do when I have some time in my busy day is find my way to the Medellin Botanical Gardens ( Jardín Botánico de Medellín ’Joaquín Antonio Uribe’).  This relaxing spot in the middle of Medellin is home to wild plants, birds, animals of many different types.  You will also find the locals and tourists alike enjoying this oasis of tranquility.  It is not unusual to see families having a mid day picnic or you might find some young lovers stealing a kiss or two.  There are a few restaurants, exhibits and restrooms, but mostly it is all about finding calm in life’s busy schedule.
