Samborondon Bar is a Medellin restaurant which menu is specialized in typical Spanish food, the famous tapas, Sangrias and some highlights that include exquisite seafood.
Samborondon is the name of one of the Canary Islands, in Spain, which can only be seen when the tide is low. The restaurant owners took this exotic name because it evokes a Mediterranean culture, especially the Spanish, which is the kind of gastronomic experience they want to offer.
Their Menu is a the traditional Spanish with very special dishes like the paella, which is prepared with shrimp, mussels, prawns and paprika based sea bass, onion and tomato; or the an exotic octopus cockpit, which comes with small boiled potato slices and sliced octopus with paprika, pepper and olive oil.
The place looks like an authentic Spanish wine yard, displaying counters with barrels and bottles of Spanish, Chilean and Argentinian wines, inviting customers to accompany their meals with one of these bottles.
At night, candles and warm light make suit the place with the perfect environment for couples or families who want to share a wonderful Spanish evening. Some women wearing red bandanna on their heads and white & black dresses, give a touch of elegance and complete the Mediterranean ambiance.
