Pizzeria Olivia is one of the best Medellin Restaurants for pizza and Italian specialties.
The restaurant has a very Mediterranean resemblance, with fresh colors and natural elements for a rustic look. Inside the restaurant there are two long tables, one of them next to the clay oven, which has a front row seat from where guests can watch and smell the preparation of pizzas. The other table is in the center of the place, so customers can engage in a chat. There are some traditional tables around the place, as well.
Olivia’s specialty are pizzas with different toppings, nothing like any other pizza from fast food vendors. This gourmet restaurant seeks to rescue those flavors of cured meats, olives, artichokes, cheeses and vegetables that characterize the fragrant Mediterranean food, and perfectly combines the ingredients with a thin crispy dough and its Pomodoro homemade sauce.
The menu has a large number of options, like the Olivia pizza with salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, Italian sopresatta and Spanish chorizo, a whole party of cured meats. For those who enjoy a bit of spiciness the chef recommends the pizza with salsiccia, Spanish sausage and guindillas (jalapeno peppers). All pizzas have a good size, ie, a hungry person can have one and be satisfied, or two people can share one pizza and they’ll be fine as well.
At Olivia you can find a number of exquisite desserts like the “Chocolate,” a freshly baked calzone filled with nutella, chocolate chips and pecans, topped with some icing sugar. It comes with vanilla ice cream, which completes a nice combination of textures and flavors
