The decoration style of Fonda La 33 Medellin restaurant is the traditional dwelling of the old Antioquia’s towns.
Its large sign illuminates the wooden fence surrounding the outside tables and chairs. The facade is covered with straw, and inside the roof is covered by natural fiber bags, giving a rough finish to Fonda La 33.
Some cow heads welcome visitors, while a riding chair makes the center of entertainment at night, completing the folk environment.
Fonda La 33 site is large, good enough to receive couples or large groups coming to celebrate a special date or to just have some fun.
The establishment is open Sunday through Wednesday from 3:00 p.m to 2:00 a.m
Thursday through Saturday from 3:00 p.m to 4:00 a.m
Fonda la 33 offers a wide variety of traditional food from Antioquia and Colombia, displaying some exotic flavors that the locals really enjoy and foreigns would start liking with the very first bites.
Dishes like the famous Mondongo, chorizo with arepas, Red Romano Beans cazuela or the world-wide known “Bandeja Paisa” are some of the most requested specialties at Fonda La 33. The Bandeja Paisa is a very hearty meal loaded with a lot of items that have been brought to Antioquia from the influence of the Spanish cuisine at times of the colony.
